| Brief Description of Library and its
services: |
The library is situated on the first floor of
the main school building. It provides study space for sixth formers
and is used by teaching staff from the English Department for reading
lessons.. It can also be booked in advance by groups for research.
It is heavily used by the whole school during break and lunch times for
recreational reading and study. There is a homework club after school
Mon-Thurs. There is also a Careers Library run by Connexions.
Students may borrow up to 3 books for 4 weeks. Staff may borrow up to
12 books and student
librarians may borrow up to 6 books. Books from the careers collection are
restricted to an overnight loan. |

11,000 titles. An extensive fiction
collection and non-fiction and reference to cater for the need of staff and
students yr 7-13. A selection of newspapers and periodicals to support
the curriculum. |
