Access: The library is situated on the ground floor and is accessible to wheelchairs.
Brief Description of Library and its services: Whilst the Beaney building is extended and remodelled, Canterbury Library has relocated to 35 Pound Lane.  The library offers:
  • Books for adults
  • Children's books
  • Books for teenagers
  • Computer facilities
  • A selection of DVDs, CDs and talking books
  • A small reference collection
  • FREE reservations
  • Baby bounce and rhyme and storytime for children
  • Author talks and other events

Whilst the Beaney is closed, Local Studies services are being provided from the search room at Canterbury Cathedral Archive and Library.  We regret that owing to lack of space, not all library material will be available.  For details on access and opening hours, please contact Archives on 01227 865330 or email archives@canterbury-cathedral.org.

Wide range suitable for all ages, study support from primary to further education, Large Print - adult fiction and non-fiction, children's fiction.
Electronic Resources: Public access to Internet, Microsoft Office, library catalogue.  Online information resources available via www.kent.gov.uk/libs.
Library Computer System: Spydus (Civica)
Computing Facilities: Four public access PCs with Internet and Microsoft Office.  Netloan booking system in place. Printing facilities (A4 Black and White - 10p per sheet, A4 colour - £1.00 per sheet)
